Islamabad, Aug 11, 2025: Punjab Secretary for Price Control, Dr. Ehsan Bhutta, carried out an inspection of the ongoing construction of Sahulat On-the-Go markets at six different sites in Lahore. This move comes as the provincial government is working hard to speed up the project to ensure affordable and quality food access.

The inspected locations included Gulshan Ravi, Shadman, Madar-e-Millat, Faisal Town, Raiwind, and Manga Mandi.

During the visit, Dr. Bhutta was accompanied by Punjab Sahulat Bazaar Authority Director General and Project Director Roshan Zameer, who updated him on the progress, along with Price Control Consultant Maqsood Ahmed.

The officials discussed the importance of completing these markets on time to provide the public with clean, well-maintained spaces for shopping.

Dr. Bhutta instructed the teams to push forward with construction work and keep strict, continuous supervision to avoid delays. He emphasized that this initiative is a part of the Chief Minister’s vision to deliver affordable, high-quality food through modern markets with excellent facilities.

There are a total of 15 Sahulat On-the-Go markets planned across Lahore. The first phase focuses on seven locations, including the six inspected, with the rest set to start soon. When fully operational, these markets will help residents buy essential goods conveniently and at fair prices, improving the overall accessibility of fresh and affordable food in important areas of the city.
