Islamabad, July 9, 2025: Nearly 250,000 Pakistanis have successfully completed their mandatory Hajj 2026 registration as the initial deadline closes today, July 9. This early surge reflects growing public interest in the upcoming pilgrimage despite challenges faced during Hajj 2025.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs Pakistan launched the registration phase last month, allowing applicants to submit their forms online or through 15 designated banks—without any upfront payment. This streamlined approach was designed to accommodate both local and overseas Pakistanis.
Those who have registered will later select between the government Hajj scheme and private Hajj operators, once the official policy and package costs are announced.
According to official sources, the strong response is partially driven by thousands of pilgrims who missed out in 2025. Private Hajj operators last year failed to utilize a large portion of their allotted quota due to delayed payments and poor communication, leaving many without arrangements.

Pakistan had received a Hajj 2025 quota of 179,210 pilgrims, equally split between government and private organizers. While the government met its target by sending over 88,000 pilgrims, many private companies struggled to meet operational requirements.

This year’s registration also includes those previously affected by the private scheme’s mismanagement. Authorities hope to ensure a more transparent and organized Hajj experience in 2026 through early planning.
