The Sulaiman Mountains are a geologically complex fold-and-thrust belt formed over millions of years due to tectonic activity between the Indian and Eurasian plates. The region’s intricate fault system has a history of producing significant seismic events, including a major quake near Harnai in 2021, though this latest movement came with no immediate consequences.

No alerts have been issued, but residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any unusual observations as authorities assess the area for potential seismic risks.
