Islamabad, Sep 9: A senior delegation from the International Cricket Council (ICC) will visit Pakistan this week to assess the arrangements for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.

Senior representatives from several ICC departments will be among the six-person group, and they will evaluate Pakistan’s preparedness to host the esteemed occasion.

This will be the final inspection by the ICC before the tournament, following three prior visits by event personnel, pitch consultants, and security experts.

The delegation’s main priorities will be to assess venue conditions, critical infrastructure, and overall logistics. Over the course of the five-day visit, major locations in Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Lahore are expected to receive a comprehensive inspection.

According to reports, the ICC team will offer suggestions for additional enhancements and adjustments before the tournament.

There are also scheduled meetings with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), where logistical issues including practice schedules, tickets, and lodging will be addressed. According to sources, the PCB will probably receive the official Champions Trophy schedule from the ICC in the next few days after it has been finalized.

PCB officials are scheduled to provide information on venue upgrades and other preparatory measures in advance of the delegation’s visit to guarantee the seamless running of the international cricket competition.

The England Test series, which will start on October 7, will be held at the Multan and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, according to confirmation made last week by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
