On the orders of DIG Traffic, New Karachi traffic police have caught a beggar reportedly earning thousands of rupees every day. During a crackdown on illegal begging, officers discovered that the elderly beggar had Rs. 9,410 in cash, which was collected in just one day.
Traffic police officials said that begging at busy intersections disrupts the flow of traffic and creates safety hazards for commuters. The investigation revealed that this was not an isolated case but part of a pattern of high daily earnings from begging.
