Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Sheikh, instructed all mosque administrations in the Kingdom to perform the eclipse prayer on Sunday, September 7, during the lunar eclipse.

The Minister of Islamic Affairs emphasized increasing remembrance of Allah and seeking forgiveness during the eclipse and following the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ by offering Salat al-Khusuf.

The Haramain administration announced that Salat al-Khusuf will be held at Masjid al-Haram in Makkah on Sunday at 9:00 p.m., led by Sheikh Badr Al-Turki. The lunar eclipse will begin at 6:28 p.m. Makkah time, with totality ending at 9:45 p.m.

It is noteworthy that tonight, the second total lunar eclipse of the year will be visible in Pakistan and various countries worldwide, including Saudi Arabia, the United States, India, Bangladesh, China, and Japan.

According to the Meteorological Department, the lunar eclipse will be clearly visible in Pakistan, but in Karachi and other southern parts of the country, cloud cover may make observation difficult for the public.
