Damage caused by floods in all parts of Punjab has compelled the education department to find new strategies to ensure thousands of children are not deprived of learning. Khalid Nazir, Secretary to Schools, made confirmation that special arrangements will now govern the education of more than 700,000 displaced students.

Students affected will be accommodated in PEF and PIMA institutions and additional classes will be planned on the week. Saturday is now officially a day of teaching to get the most learning. Mobile education units have also been deployed in case of continuity such as in remote and flood hit regions.
