An Emergency and Relief Cell in Karachi has been launched on the special orders of Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori to assist citizens during the ongoing heavy rains and floods. The governor has assured that the emergency cell will remain functional round the clock under the supervision of the additional secretary and deputy secretaries.
Governor Sindh urged rain-affected residents to immediately contact helpline 1366 for assistance, promising that every possible facility will be extended to those in need. To strengthen relief efforts, Kamran Tessori also held discussions with the Chairman of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) regarding the worsening food and flood situation in Sindh.
During the briefing, the Red Crescent informed the governor about its ongoing relief activities, which include providing ambulances, medical camps, and essential supplies. Governor Tessori directed PRCS to maximize its resources, medical teams, and volunteers to ensure quick response across affected regions.

Relief operations are actively underway in areas like Korangi Crossing, Old City, Nagan Chowrangi, and KDA, while volunteers are also supporting districts such as Hyderabad.
