The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) will conduct the Quality Assurance Test (QAT) in partner schools across Punjab on September 23.
According to officials, the test will cover three core subjects which are Urdu, English and Mathematics.
Students from grade two to grade five will take part in the exam, with 50 percent of the enrolled children from each class being assessed. To qualify, every student must secure at least 40 percent marks.
The Quality Assurance Test is held every year by the PEF to evaluate the academic standards of its partner schools. The outcome of this assessment plays a vital role in determining whether these schools continue receiving payments from PEF.

Under the policy, a school that fails the QAT for the first time will receive a formal warning. If it fails again, half of its payments will be withheld. A third consecutive failure will lead to the cancellation of its partnership with PEF altogether.
The Foundation has reminded its partner institutions to stay focused on students’ learning and overall academic progress throughout the year, stressing that consistent quality in teaching is the key to securing better results.
