Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan’s Bollywood comeback is finally hitting Indian cinema screens as his much-awaited romantic comedy Aabeer Gulaal secures a release date. Starring alongside Vaani Kapoor, the film is now scheduled to premiere in India on September 26, following its global release on September 12.
According to Indian media, the makers strategically delayed the domestic launch to ensure maximum attention at the box office. Industry insiders revealed that Aabeer Gulaal will enjoy a solo release in India since no other major movie is slated for the same day. “The team is confident about the film’s universal appeal. It’s a lighthearted yet passionate love story that can captivate audiences everywhere,” the source confirmed.
Helmed by Aarti S. Bagdi, Aabeer Gulaal brings together a stellar cast, with Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor in leading roles, supported by Riddhi Dogra, Lisa Haydon, Farida Jalal, Soni Razdan, and Parmeet Sethi. Initially set for a May worldwide release, the movie was postponed due to heightened political tensions after the Pahalgam terror attack in April.
