The Punjab government has unveiled a plan to construct 57,000 affordable, high-quality homes under the supervision of the Housing Department. The project will be implemented on government-owned land across 21 districts of the province.
In the first phase, 41 sites have been selected for the construction of 2,000 homes. A spokesperson for the Housing Department stated that these homes will be offered to eligible individuals on easy installment plans.

The housing project is expected to be completed within five years and will be developed in collaboration with the World Bank and the private sector. Authorities assured that residents will have easy access to all necessary facilities, and strict quality checks and project monitoring will be maintained throughout construction.
The plan will be presented to the provincial cabinet for approval.
