Asia Cup 2025 India vs Pakistan has taken on a fiery twist ahead of Sunday’s big game in Dubai, not because of players on the field, but due to a war of words between two famous cricket franchises.

The IPL’s Punjab Kings (PBKS) landed in hot water after posting a promotional banner that excluded the Pakistan flag, sparking outrage online.

The missing flag did not go unnoticed by fans. Many accused PBKS of showing disrespect and bias, with social media quickly filling with sarcastic comments. Some even joked, calling the post “India vs John Cena,” mocking the absence of Pakistan’s representation in the graphic.

In a sharp counter, the Pakistan Super League’s Karachi Kings stepped in with their own response. Their post showed Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha playing chess against India’s skipper, whose image was left in shadows. With the caption, “Game 2 for Men in Green. Let’s goooo,” the post was widely applauded by Pakistani fans who felt it was a clever and bold reply.

The spat added yet another off-field layer to the already intense rivalry between India and Pakistan. Such controversies are not new. Just last year, during the World Championship of Legends (WCL 2024), the India Champions refused to play Pakistan, highlighting how politics and cricket often mix when these two countries face each other.
