The resolution was presented by opposition member Farrukh Javed Moon, requesting the federal government to impose a complete ban on TikTok in Pakistan.

The text of the submitted resolution stated that these days in Pakistan, the TikTok mafia is promoting obscenity and vulgarity through live chat, which is luring the younger generation, especially children, towards immorality.

The resolution further said that young boys and girls engage in obscene conversations and incite each other to indulge in unethical acts, which are entirely against Islamic social values.

The younger generation is being increasingly drawn towards platforms like TikTok in pursuit of cheap fame and money, causing deterioration in society.

The resolution demanded that this provincial assembly appeals to the federal government to immediately impose a ban on TikTok and its live chat feature, in order to protect the younger generation from moral destruction.
