Following India’s violation of sportsmanship in the Pakistan-India Asia Cup match, President of the Asian Cricket Council and Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, has issued his reaction.
In a message shared on social media, Mohsin Naqvi expressed deep disappointment over India’s breach of sportsmanship, stating that dragging politics into sports goes against the true spirit of the game. He added that he hopes future victories will be celebrated gracefully and with dignity by all teams.
It is worth mentioning that during the Pakistan-India Asia Cup match played at Dubai Stadium, India openly violated the spirit of the game when the Indian team refused the traditional handshake with Pakistan.
According to the PCB, Pakistan team manager Naveed Akram Cheema officially lodged a protest over the conduct of the match referee. The team manager also remarked that the refusal of Indian players to shake hands was against the spirit of sportsmanship.
