Renowned TV anchor and journalist Wasim Badami shared deep sorrow on social media after confirming the death of Umer Shah, the younger brother of child internet sensation Ahmed Shah.
In a video message posted on his official Instagram account, Wasim Badami revealed that Umer Shah, who was well-loved by viewers during Ramadan shows, had passed away unexpectedly. “The child you often saw in our Good Segment, Umer, has left us,” he said with visible grief.
Explaining the cause, Badami said doctors informed the family that Umer experienced vomiting at dawn, which entered his lungs and disrupted his oxygen supply. This complication led to a cardiovascular arrest, ultimately causing his death.
Wasim Badami requested the public and social media users to pray for the departed child and strength for the grieving family. “May Allah grant patience to the family and bless the child with the highest place in Jannah,” he added.

The news was first shared on Ahmed Shah’s Ahmad Shah’s official Facebook page, where the family announced, “This is to inform the little shining star of our family, Umer Shah has returned to Allah Almighty. I request everyone to remember him and our family in your prayers.”
