Pakistan is likely to boycott the remaining matches of the Asia Cup unless International Cricket Council (ICC) removes match referee Andy Pycroft from Asia Cup.

Although the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not officially announced the decision to boycott the Asia Cup if its demand isn’t met. But multiple local news channels have reported the news citing sources.

Earlier, PCB lodged a complaint with the ICC against the match referee for yesterday’s Asia Cup game against India over his alleged violations of rules pertaining to the “Spirit of Cricket”.

“The PCB has lodged a complaint with the ICC regarding violations by the Match Referee of the ICC Code of Conduct and the MCC Laws pertaining to the Spirit of Cricket,” PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi posted on X.

“The PCB has demanded an immediate removal of the match referee from the Asia Cup,” he added.
