Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa chaired an important meeting at the CDA headquarters on Monday.

The meeting issued orders to impose fines on those littering outside hotels and restaurants. It was informed that this decision was made to maintain high standards of cleanliness in Islamabad.

The meeting decided to monitor elements littering outside hotels and restaurants through Safe City cameras. Chairman CDA directed that daily reports on littering be compiled.

He also instructed that trader unions be taken into confidence regarding enforcement of these measures.

The CDA chairman said that a zero-tolerance policy would be adopted against littering. He said that the purpose of these measures is to resolve traffic issues while ensuring compliance with traffic rules and making Islamabad a clean model city.
