The Punjab Government has launched the E-Taxi Scheme 2025 for Lahore, offering 1,100 electric taxis on interest-free five-year installment plans, along with free registration and token tax. A subsidy of Rs. 3.5 billion has been allocated for the scheme.
Terms and Conditions
Applicants will only be allowed to choose vehicles listed on the official portal. The government will provide loans of up to Rs. 6.5 million; if the vehicle price exceeds this amount, the applicant must pay the difference.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must hold a valid driving license
- One application per person
- Age between 21 and 55 years

Subsidy Details
For individuals
- 60% subsidy on down payment for women
- 50% subsidy for persons with disabilities
For corporate sector:
- 40% subsidy for applications of 10–50 cars
- 30% subsidy for applications of more than 50 cars
The application portal https://e-taxi.punjab.gov.pk/ will be live soon with the last date for application set at October 5, 2025.
