The Honor Magic 8 series is set to make its debut in the fourth quarter of 2025, between October and December, according to Honor’s Chief Marketing Officer, Guo Rui. He described it as the company’s “most exciting flagship of Q4,” raising expectations for a big release in the smartphone market.

Industry insiders suggest that the Magic 8 series might feature a dedicated AI button, though Honor has not officially confirmed this yet. However, CEO James Li has revealed that the upcoming MagicOS 10 will offer deep AI integration, including automation of everyday tasks and support from a built-in large language model.

So far, Honor has only confirmed a Q4 launch window. Rumors hint at a mid-October release, which would be earlier than last year’s Magic 7 series that appeared in late October 2024. Like its predecessor, the launch could be split, with the Magic8 and Magic8 Pro arriving in Q4, while the Magic8 Ultra and Magic8 Mini are expected to roll out in early 2026.

Honor is also teasing some major hardware improvements. The Magic 8 phones are expected to carry NoxGod technology for a 200MP telephoto camera and may include a dToF sensor for improved depth sensing. With these features, the brand is aiming to push ahead in both photography and AI-driven performance.
