The Punjab government is considering fee relief for students in flood-affected areas. A proposal has been submitted to waive registration and semester fees for students enrolled in public colleges and universities across the affected regions.

Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat shared that the recommendation has been placed before Chief Minister Punjab for approval. He added that once the decision is finalized, it will ease the financial pressure on families who have lost income due to the floods.

The minister stressed that the government is committed to ensuring students from flood-hit areas can continue their education without any interruption. He further urged private schools, colleges and universities to extend similar relief measures for their affected students.
