Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem could not secure victory in the javelin final at the World Athletics Championships Tokyo despite a strong effort.
Pakistan’s star javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem struggled to find his best form in the World Athletics Championships 2025 final. He opened with a throw of 82.73 metres, fouled on his second attempt, and managed 82.75 metres on his third, falling short of breaking into the top eight and ending his medal campaign.
At the World Athletics Championships 2025 men’s javelin final, Trinidad and Tobago’s Keshorn Walcott stole the spotlight with a brilliant 87.83m throw, edging past Grenada’s Anderson Peters (87.38m) and USA’s Curtis Thompson (86.67m). India’s Sachin Yadav impressed with an 86.27m effort, while Germany’s Julian Weber secured 86.11m, rounding off a highly competitive top tier.

Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem could not break into medal contention, registering 82.73m in his first attempt, a foul on the second, and 82.75m on the third, finishing ninth overall. India’s Neeraj Chopra also fell short of expectations with a best of 84.03m, missing out on the podium.
