Fertilizer offtake in Pakistan surged to 817,000 tons in August 2025, the highest monthly level since August 2017.
The rise helped ease pressure from elevated inventories, aided by substantial discounts on urea offered by manufacturers, according to brokerage house Arif Habib Limited (AHL).

Last week, the management of Engro Holdings Limited (PSX ENGROH) said that it expects current flood situation is not worse than 2022 floods.
At present, they do not see demand falling by more than 4-5%. Fertilizer inventory has reached 1.2 million tons, well above the safety threshold. Management expects the government to allow exports after the 4Q2025 season to clear the excess stock.
