Petroleum product prices in Pakistan are expected to increase once again starting October 1. According to the oil industry, the hike could range from Rs. 1.97 to Rs. 4.65 per liter.
Reports indicate that petrol may become Rs. 1.97 per liter more expensive, while high-speed diesel could see an increase of Rs. 2.48 per liter. Light diesel oil is expected to rise by Rs. 1.76 per liter, and kerosene oil could go up by Rs. 4.65 per liter.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) will send a summary regarding the revised prices to the Ministry of Finance. The new rates will be officially announced after receiving final approval from the Prime Minister.

Previously, on September 16, the government left petrol prices unchanged, while the cost of high-speed diesel was increased by Rs. 2.78 per liter.
