Dubai is set to welcome its first fleet of electric flying taxis on March 31, 2026, Skyports CEO Duncan Walker confirmed.
In an interview, Walker revealed that the first vertiport at Dubai International Airport is nearly complete, with the helideck fully constructed across three floors, ahead of the January launch.
Additional vertiports are planned at Palm Jumeirah, Marina, and Dubai Mall, while Ras Al Khaimah will see two vertiports at Jebel Jais and the Wynn Resort on Al Marjan Island.
Construction in Ras Al Khaimah will begin next year, with operations starting in 2027, following agreements with RAK Transport Authority, Joby, and Skyports.
Ticket prices are expected to range between $200-$300 per passenger, which Walker noted is competitive compared to conventional taxi fares for the same routes.
The vertiports will also be accessible to all helicopters, supporting broader public transport initiatives in the UAE.
