Lahore is set to expand its electric bus fleet, with 35 new buses arriving next month.

According to official sources, the new electric buses will operate on the Canal Road route, running from Thokar to Jallo Mor.

The arrival of these buses is expected next week, with operations on the new route set to begin in the first week of October. A formal ceremony will be held to mark the introduction of the new buses.

Currently, 27 electric buses are running in the city on the Green Town to Railway Station route.

Lahore’s electric bus program is part of the city’s broader initiative to promote eco-friendly public transport.
