Residents of Karachi felt mild tremors on Wednesday morning after a Karachi earthquake of 3.2 magnitude was recorded in the metropolitan city.
Epicentre and Time of Quake
As per the National Seismological Centre, the earthquake struck at 9:34 am, with its epicentre situated about 7 kilometres northwest of Malir.
Depth and Seismic Details
The tremor originated at a depth of nearly 10 kilometres, classifying it as a shallow earthquake. Experts note that shallow quakes, despite having lower magnitudes, are usually sensed more clearly on the surface.

Tremors Reported in Different Areas
Light vibrations were reported by residents across several localities of Karachi, especially in areas near Malir. The minor intensity ensured that the quake lasted only a few seconds and caused no panic or damage.
