Federal Minister for Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, says that flights must be increased to achieve the objectives of the Silk Way and member countries should promote mutual connectivity.
Addressing a round table conference of ministers from 12 countries on transport in Kazakhstan, Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan said that trade corridors are vital for promoting mutual trade. He invited the member countries to attend a conference in Pakistan in October.
The Federal Communications Minister further stated that land connections will have to be increased sooner or later to boost the trade volume. He said that the business communities and citizens of these countries should travel as much as possible. “I was genuinely happy to come to Almaty, Kazakhstan and I am optimistic about the positive outcomes of the forum,” he said. The visit of the Vice President and Ministers of Kazakhstan to Pakistan was fruitful.
He said this forum provides an opportunity to benefit from each other’s experiences. Regional cooperation can improve the economy and communication networks and Central Asian Republics serve as a gateway for Pakistan.
