The Nothing OS 4.0 Open Beta based on Android 16 is now available, giving users early access to Nothing’s latest software update.
The beta can be installed on Nothing Phone (3), Phone (2), Phone (2a), and Phone (2a) Plus, while Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro will receive the update in October. Users must update to the latest stable build, then download the official APK from Nothing’s community post.
Once installed, a new “Nothing Beta Hub” will appear under Settings > System for enrollment.

Since this is a beta version, minor bugs are expected. Nothing urges testers to share feedback to improve stability. If you want to try Android 16 early, the Nothing OS 4.0 Open Beta is the fastest way to experience it before the stable release.
