Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Mohsin Naqvi has strongly refuted claims circulating in Indian media regarding the recent trophy controversy.
“Indian media thrives on lies, not facts. Let me make it absolutely clear: I have done nothing wrong and I have never apologized to the BCCI, nor will I ever do so,” Naqvi said in a statement.
He described the reports as “fabricated nonsense” and “cheap propaganda,” accusing India of dragging politics into cricket and harming the spirit of the game.

Naqvi added that he had been ready to hand over the trophy on the day of the incident and remains willing to do so.
“If they truly want it, they are welcome to come to the ACC office and collect it from me,” he stated.
