The Punjab Government has launched Pakistan’s first Environment WhatsApp Chatbot, a digital tool designed to provide real-time air quality updates and promote public awareness on environmental health.
According to Secretary Environment Protection Punjab, Silwat Saeed, the new AI-powered Eco Bot serves as a direct communication link between citizens and the Environment Protection Department. With just one WhatsApp message, users can now check Air Quality Index (AQI) data for major cities including Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi and Multan.
The chatbot not only shares air quality information but also guides citizens on healthy living practices and ways to reduce air pollution. Officials said the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to using modern technology for a cleaner and greener Punjab.
