The Capital Development Authority (CDA) announced on Thursday that 46% of work on the Rs. 1.4 billion T-Chowk flyover has been completed, with construction progressing at full pace.

The 1.1-kilometre, three-lane flyover at the junction of GT Road and Expressway aims to ensure smooth traffic flow for vehicles coming from Lahore. Launched by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif last month, the project is set to be completed within 150 days.

According to CDA officials, all 76 piles and 68 girders have been cast, while the retaining wall ramp-I is ready and ramp-II is 86% complete. CDA Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa recently expressed satisfaction with the progress, saying the project will provide signal-free travel for commuters between the twin cities and Punjab.
