The number of e-challans required to blacklist a defaulter vehicle has been reduced. Now, vehicles with 25 e-challans and motorcycles with 10 e-challans will be seized.

In the second phase, vehicles and motorcycles with 25 unpaid e-challans will be blacklisted. In the third phase, those with 10 unpaid e-challans will be seized. Vehicles with unpaid e-challans will remain impounded at the police station until the fines are paid.

Previously, only vehicles with 50 e-challans were blacklisted. CTO Athar Waheed stated that the purpose of reducing the challan limit is to initiate a crackdown against e-challan defaulter vehicles. He added that they are working with Safe City authorities to collect fines from e-challan defaulters.
