The Meta-owned application WhatsApp has introduced a new AI image generator feature for status updates.
According to WhatsApp, this feature is called AI-Generated Images for Status, which operates using Meta’s advanced artificial intelligence technology. In this feature, users simply need to type a sentence or descriptive phrase — such as “sunset view” or “bright night sky” — and WhatsApp will automatically generate multiple images matching that theme.
To use this feature, users need to go to the status section, select the AI-generated image option, and then enter their desired phrase. The app will create several images, from which the user can choose their favorite one. Users can also add emojis, stickers, or text to the image if they wish.
This feature is an extension of WhatsApp’s existing AI-generated wallpaper creation tool, which allows users to design personalized backgrounds for their chats.
Currently, the new feature is being rolled out to a limited number of Android and iPhone users and will gradually become available worldwide.

According to Meta, this new feature is part of their broader artificial intelligence integration strategy, aimed at transforming WhatsApp from just a messaging app into a platform for creative expression.
