Shifa International Hospitals Limited (PSX: SHFA) has approved the merger of its subsidiary, Shifa Medical Center Islamabad (Private) Limited (SMCI), with the parent company to streamline operations and strengthen its corporate structure.
In a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Monday, SIHL said the amalgamation aims to simplify the group’s organizational framework by removing redundant administrative layers and inter-company relationships.
According to the notice, the merger will consolidate resources, enhance asset utilization, improve financial reporting through unified statements, and enable centralized management of liabilities.
It added that direct control over operations is expected to improve decision-making and productivity, while operating as a single entity will support future growth, simplify capital-raising processes, and reinforce market presence.

Incorporated in 1987 and converted into a public limited company in 1989, Shifa International Hospitals Limited operates hospitals, medical centers, pharmacies, and lab collection points across Pakistan.
