Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has signed a new cargo agreement with Riyadh Air to strengthen its air freight operations. With the rising global demand for air cargo, this partnership aims to boost connectivity and revenue for both carriers.
Under the agreement, cargo shipments from Pakistan and London will be routed through Riyadh, from where they will be distributed to final destinations using the combined networks of both airlines. The agreement will come into effect on October 29.
According to officials, the deal is expected to increase PIA’s cargo destinations, enhance its logistics capacity and generate higher income from freight services. It marks another strategic move by the airline to tap into the rapidly growing cargo market.
