Pakistani YouTuber Saad ur Rehman known as Ducky Bhai has filed a petition for post-arrest bail in the Lahore High Court. He is currently in jail under the supervision of the Federal Investigation Agency. This legal action follows the rejection of his bail plea by the Lahore District and Sessions Court on October 2. Ducky Bhai and his wife Aroob Jatoi were arrested on August 16 when they were about to leave the country. The couple was detained by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency for allegedly promoting illegal gambling applications through his YouTube channel. Authorities claim that his promotion of these apps caused financial losses to many people.

The case includes serious charges under Pakistan’s Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act and the Pakistan Penal Code. Investigators say that Ducky Bhai endorsed gambling platforms without proper permission. They also claim he worked as the country manager for one of these platforms. The Federal Investigation Agency also discovered large sums of money in his accounts which he could not explain. As the case moves forward the Lahore High Court will decide if Ducky Bhai will be granted bail. The outcome of this case could set an important precedent for social media influencers in Pakistan and their involvement in promoting online platforms.
