Islamabad Traffic Police have started a new facility under the driving license campaign, making it easier for citizens to get a learner permit on the spot.

Acting on the directions of the Inspector General (IG) Islamabad, the traffic police have launched the second phase of the driving license campaign to help motorists save time and avoid long queues.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Hamza Humayun announced that citizens can now obtain their learner permits directly at city checkpoints. He said special “facilitation vans” will be available at Zero Point, Faizabad, G-14, and Foreign Office checkpoints. The service aims to assist people who do not yet have a driving license or learner permit.

CTO Hamza Humayun added that the initiative will bring convenience to the public, allowing drivers without permits to apply and receive them instantly at these checkpoints. He further explained that those caught driving without a license or permit will now have the opportunity to obtain a valid learner permit on the spot instead of facing penalties.
