A major step has been taken toward resuming direct flights from Pakistan to the United States. According to official sources, a team from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will visit Pakistan in January for another round of audits.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has instructed all department heads to complete preparations ahead of the American audit. During the visit, the FAA team will conduct a detailed review of Pakistan’s aviation systems, including aircraft maintenance, flight safety, and operational standards.

Sources revealed that the American experts will also inspect aircraft that could be used for future direct flights between Pakistan and the US. The audit aims to ensure all safety and performance standards are met before resuming operations.

If the audit results are positive, it could pave the way for restarting non-stop passenger flights between the two countries after a long suspension.
