Under the Digital Punjab Vision, the scope of the free Wi-Fi service has been expanded. The Safe Cities Authority has so far fully activated 1,283 free Wi-Fi spots, including 470 locations in Lahore.
According to the spokesperson, more than 76.76 million users have used around 1,378 TB of data so far. The free Wi-Fi service will soon be introduced in more cities as well.

The spokesperson clarified that the free Wi-Fi service is primarily designed for emergency use, and not for video streaming or entertainment purposes.
