The Beaver Supermoon, the biggest and brightest moon of 2025, will light up the skies on Wednesday at 6:19 PM (PST), according to the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO). The rare sight will be visible across Pakistan and around the world.
Officials from SUPARCO confirmed that the moon will be visible soon after it rises and can be observed with the naked eye.
At its closest point to Earth, the moon will be about 356,980 kilometers away, appearing nearly 8% larger and 16% brighter than a usual full moon. This event marks the second in a series of three consecutive supermoons, following October and preceding December’s celestial show.
Experts say the clear winter skies will make the super moon’s glow even more striking. People living outside major cities or in areas with low light pollution will get the best view of the phenomenon. For skywatchers and nature lovers, this celestial sight promises a memorable experience.
