Islamabad, Aug 24: The minimal score needed for first-year intermediate admissions in government colleges in Sindh has been lowered by the government.The Director General of Colleges, Dr. Naveed, declared that various colleges will be reducing their cutoff marks by 20 to 50 points.

He stated to a private news outlet that August 23 will mark the publication of the most recent admissions list. In response to the large volume of complaints, he said that six colleges have established complaint centers and that several colleges have increased their admissions capacity.

He claims that the Government College for Boys Nazimabad, Government Degree Boys College Gulistan-e-Johar, Government Girls College Liaquatabad, Sir Syed College, and Khurshid Girls College are the locations where the centers have been constructed.

169,890 students applied through the portal for admissions in the pre-engineering, pre-medical, commerce, humanities, home economics, and computer science groups; 167,309 of them were accepted, according to Dr. Naveed’s disclosure. He went on to say that more than 98,000 of the 114,000 applicants for college admissions were accepted.
