Islamabad, Aug 24: The successful transfer of the first batch of Chinese-grown white broiler eggs to Pakistan via flight from Guangzhou Baiyun Airport represents a major advancement in the agricultural trade relations between the two nations.
A shipment of unique “guests” 172,800 Chinese “Guangming No. 2” White Feathered Broiler eggs was stored in the plane’s cargo hold. China sold its first batch of chicken to Pakistan with this shipment, which was entirely domestically raised by Beijing Institute of Animal Science (IAS) of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) and Foshan Gaoming District Xinguang Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Co. Ltd.We are really happy to be exporting white-feathered broiler breeding eggs to Pakistan.
The person in charge of the White Feather Broiler project, Liu Dawei, deputy general manager of Xinguang, expressed delight, “More Chinese breeding eggs will go abroad, not only to Pakistan, but to the globe.” The “Guangming No. 2” White Feather Broiler, which was 42 days old, weighed over 3 kg and had a feed-to-weight ratio of 1.32–1.5:1, according to information obtained by China Economic Net. Furthermore, they possessed notable benefits like quick development and a high percentage of survival. After 21 days of incubation, the 172,800 hatching eggs transported to Pakistan may yield more over 50,000 sets of parent broilers, designated as “Guangming No. 2.” In due course, they will be able to supply over 7 million commercial broilers, or over 21,000 tons of chicken.
China used to be entirely dependent on foreign white-feathered broiler breeders, but over the past 40 years, industrialized nations in Europe and the United States have monopolized the majority of white-feathered broiler breeders worldwide. Three kinds, including “Guangming No. 2,” had passed the review by the end of 2021, and as a result, domestic white-feathered broiler breeders were raised separately in China.
Pakistan is currently dealing with the same issue that China formerly did. According to statistics, only a few dozen businesses in the nation import all of the grandparents’ stock, or GPs. GPs are the birds that raise the parent stock, which raises broilers for the general public’s diet. The breeding poultry export cooperation between China and Pakistan has now made a fruitful initial step that will provide a strong basis for the two nations to work together to support the creative growth of the global broiler breeding sector.
