For overseas Pakistanis who invested in the Nilore Heights Housing Project, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board has approved a full refund of processing charges.

This decision came during the CDA’s 15th board meeting, chaired by Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, where several key measures were taken to support CDA employees, affected residents of Islamabad, and overseas Pakistanis.

The Board resolved to give overseas Pakistanis priority in the allotment of plots in Sector C-14 through balloting. It also established a seven-member committee to review the longstanding concerns of affected citizens of Islamabad.

To ensure fair compensation, the Board authorized a third-party validation committee to review rehabilitation payments. Additionally, a committee comprising the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad and the Member Administration was formed to propose changes to land acquisition rules.

The law wing was instructed to draft recommendations for establishing and reviving covered markets in the city. The Board also appointed a new legal adviser, stipulating that no former adviser may represent claims against the authority for one year after leaving office.

For CDA employees, the Board approved a promotion track for Park Managers and Assistant Park Managers in the Environment Wing. Physical training instructors were also promoted to Grade 16, aligning their status with that of their counterparts in federal institutions.
