Islamabad, Jan 26: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has strongly denied attending any anti-China event during his visit to the United States, refuting claims that have been circulating through certain media outlets. In a press briefing in Houston, Naqvi clarified that he participated in a youth event, which had been misrepresented by detractors as an anti-China gathering.
Naqvi expressed that such propaganda is baseless and emphasized that it holds no significance, as he did not engage in any event that could harm diplomatic relations. The Interior Minister stressed that the primary goal of his visit was to foster stronger cooperation with American politicians in developing an effective strategy to combat terrorism, a challenge he described as a collective global responsibility, not just Pakistan’s fight alone.

He further warned that those who take up arms against Pakistan would face stringent actions. Naqvi also raised concerns about attempts to incite US lawmakers, specifically members of the House of Representatives, against Pakistan. He advised politicians to avoid actions that could jeopardize Pakistan’s national interests.
Highlighting the positive nature of his discussions with US Congress members, Naqvi affirmed that the meetings were constructive, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties and addressing shared security concerns.
