Islamabad, Jan 29: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued a cybersecurity alert urging all users to update their Google Chrome browsers immediately. This warning follows the discovery of two critical security flaws that could allow hackers to gain remote access to affected systems.
These vulnerabilities, identified as CVE-2024-4671 and CVE-2024-4761, impact Chrome on Windows, macOS, and Linux. The first flaw lets attackers bypass Chrome’s security restrictions, while the second affects the browser’s V8 JavaScript engine, potentially allowing malicious code execution.
