Islamabad, Feb 5: The federal government has announced a reduction in Hajj 2025 package costs, making the pilgrimage more affordable for Pakistani pilgrims. The 40-day Hajj package, which originally cost Rs. 1,075,000, has been lowered by Rs. 25,000, bringing it down to Rs. 1,050,000. Meanwhile, the 25-day short Hajj package has seen a more significant reduction, with a Rs. 50,000 discount, bringing its cost down to Rs. 1,100,000.
This decision comes after successful negotiations between the Pakistani government and Saudi authorities, aimed at reducing costs for pilgrims. As part of the process, pilgrims are now required to pay the third installment for their Hajj packages, which amounts to Rs. 450,000 for the long package and Rs. 500,000 for the short package. The payment window is open from February 6 to 14 at designated banks.

In addition, the government has announced that Rs. 4.75 billion will be refunded to last year’s pilgrims. The 2025 Hajj agreement will allow 179,210 Pakistanis to perform the sacred pilgrimage, with enhanced facilities and lower accommodation costs in Mina. To further assist pilgrims, a special mobile app will be launched, offering real-time updates, flight details, training schedules, and live maps. This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to improve the overall Hajj experience and ensure smoother travel and accommodation arrangements for all participants.
