Islamabad, Feb 6: In April, the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team will compete for a spot in the 2025 ICC Women’s ODI World Cup in India. The qualification tournament, from April 4 to 19, will feature six teams: West Indies, Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland, Thailand, and Pakistan. Pakistan will host the matches, heightening excitement as the team aims to secure its place on the world stage.
After finishing 9th in the ICC Women’s Championship with only 8 wins from 24 matches, Pakistan missed out on direct entry to the World Cup. Other teams, such as India, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, and Sri Lanka, have already earned their spots based on their performance in the championship. This leaves Pakistan with the challenging task of proving their worth in a highly competitive qualifier.
The 2023-2025 ICC Women’s Championship standings reveal a tough road ahead for Pakistan.
