Islamabad, Feb 7: Mohammad Adnan Jalil, former provincial minister and advisor to the PPP KP president on economic affairs, met with Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi to discuss matters related to economic activities and party organization. The meeting highlighted the importance of socioeconomic development for national progress and stability.
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi emphasized that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) views the progress of the people as essential for the nation’s development. He recalled the vision of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, whose slogan “Roti, Kapra aur Makan” (bread, clothes, and house) encapsulated his focus on socioeconomic uplift.
The Governor also praised the sacrifices of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto for the same cause, and noted that President Asif Ali Zardari had continued this vision with his slogan “Pakistan Kappay.” PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, according to Kundi, is striving to carry forward this vision of progress.
In another engagement, Dr. Mushtaq, President of PPP Tehsil D.I. Khan, met with Governor Kundi at the Governor’s House in Peshawar. The discussion centered on development projects, party matters, and issues faced by the people of D.I. Khan, particularly regarding federal government departments.
Governor Kundi assured that the long-awaited Chashma Left Canal gravity canal project would be inaugurated by the end of May this year. This initiative, he said, would not only benefit D.I. Khan but would contribute to the development of the entire Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and Pakistan. Dr. Mushtaq praised the Governor for his efforts in advancing the Chashma Left Canal project.
