Islamabad, Feb 20: The shift towards digital solutions in Sindh’s driving license system is gaining momentum, as more citizens are embracing the convenience of online services. DIG Licensing Iqbal Dara revealed that a significant number of people are now opting for the online platform to obtain learner permits, renew driving licenses, and even secure international driving permits.
According to official figures, approximately 100,000 people have successfully acquired learner licenses through the digital system. In the last five months alone, 4,160 permanent driving licenses were renewed online, while 3,720 citizens obtained international driving permits via the digital platform. The response has been overwhelming, with over 200,000 users registered on the Driving License Sindh website, highlighting a growing preference for the digital process over traditional in-person visits.

The online system has significantly reduced the need for applicants to visit physical offices, streamlining the entire process and making it faster, more efficient, and hassle-free. Authorities are encouraging more citizens to take advantage of this service, emphasizing its role in reducing congestion at licensing centers and enhancing public convenience.
With increasing adoption, the success of Sindh’s digital licensing system sets the stage for further advancements in e-governance, ensuring that government services become more accessible and user-friendly for the public.
