Islamabad, Feb 25: Samsung is set to expand its mid-range smartphone portfolio with the introduction of two new models, the Galaxy M06 5G and Galaxy M16, as revealed by a newly launched landing page on Amazon India.
The early marketing materials for these upcoming budget phones highlight a fresh design, featuring a return to a dedicated camera island a design element that Samsung had moved away from in mid-2022, opting instead for individual protruding lenses on both its budget and premium Galaxy devices.
The teaser image showcases the camera setups for the new models, with the Galaxy M06 featuring a dual-camera arrangement, while the Galaxy M16 is expected to include a triple-camera array. These new designs hint at a focus on improving the photography experience in Samsung’s budget offerings.
The Galaxy M06 is expected to share many specifications with its recently launched sibling, the Galaxy F06 5G, which debuted in India two weeks ago. The F06 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, includes a 5 MP primary camera, and runs on Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI Core 7.0 interface, a streamlined version of the company’s software tailored for entry-level smartphones, similar to Android GO OS.
A short teaser video from Samsung, along with the promotional images, suggests that these models will be first released in India, as indicated by the Amazon India landing page. There has been no mention of a potential release date or availability for the phones in Pakistan at this time.
